Description

The ADVIA® 560  Hematology Systems deliver optimal performance and adaptability to low- and mid-volume laboratories. The optional autoloader for the ADVIA 560 AL system streamlines automatic sampling to give laboratories even greater workflow efficiency.

Fast, high-quality CBC testing in any laboratory environment

  • Runs up to 60 samples per hour
  • Processes aspiration volumes as low as 110 µL
  • Measures 26 parameters, including a 5-part white blood cell differential*
  • Allows manual sampling of both open and closed tubes
  • Aids in interpreting disease-state information with two scattergrams and two histograms per result

Intuitive hardware features for accurate and rapid results

  • Cap-piercing function for accurate sampling and reduced biohazard risk
  • Automatic anticlogging and cleaning procedures are employed after every 15th sample
  • Easy-to-operate color touchscreen with intuitive, icon-based software
  • Choice of manual or automatic calibration
  • Handheld bar-code reader for easy entry of patient ID and control information
  • Integrated ticket printer streamlines result reporting without delaying tests in progress

Easy-to-use software features and customizable options

  • Maximum storage capacity of 100,000 results
  • Multilingual operating menu enables usability among diverse staff
  • Bidirectional LIS communication facilitates easy patient data transfer between laboratories and minimizes paper-based worklists
  • Flexible and efficient interface enables uploading of reference data via USB and QR codes
  • Customizable printing options include tabular reports
  • Built-in diagnostic flagging system automatically alerts operator to abnormal results

Simple upgrade for a true walk-away system

  • Flexibility to add the autoloader to any ADVIA 560 system at any time
  • 100 primary sample-tube capacity (10 racks of 10 sample tubes each)
  • Ability to accept a variety of tubes
  • Onboard mixing system and cap recognition sensor to ensure that only cap-piercable tubes are mixed and processed
  • Integrated bar-code reader for positive sample ID
Assays

Technology
Laser light scatter technology for 5-part WBC differential
Impedance method for CBC
Light absorbance for HGB measurement

Parameters
26 parameters, including 5-part differential with two histograms and scattergrams for RBC and PLT: BASO, WBC, LYM, MON, NEU, EOS, BAS, LYM%, MON%, NEU%, EOS%, BAS%, RBC, HCT, MCV, RDW-SD, RDW-CV, HGB, MCH, MCHC, PLT, PCT, MPV, PDW-SD, PDW-CV, P-LCC, P-LCR

Sample Stability
Sample stability is characterized by the absolute and percent difference from the baseline values measured 30 minutes after venipuncture for WBC, NEU%, NEU, LYM%, LYM, MON%, MON, EOS%, EOS, BAS%, BAS, RBC, RDW, and PLT. For MPV, the baseline is 2 hours after venipuncture. The expected stability is 7 hours from venipuncture.

Reagents
Three cyanide-free reagents (Diluent, Lyse, and Cleaner)
